NBC SportsCase Study

NBC Sports and adidas teamed up with Immersive Media to launch a unique, fan-based experience to extend the network’s broadcast coverage of the University of Notre Dame’s college football team. “Notre Dame Gameday 360” captures the essence of a weekend in and around the fabled South Bend stadium, including the Friday night pep rally, pre-game warm-ups, coin toss, marching with the band, and the traditional team serenade to fans at the end of the game. NBC Sports capitalized on the flexibility of the Immersive Media viewer to extend the frame to a full 16:9 cinema widescreen format, allowing users to see more of the imagery at once while still preserving the ability to look in any direction.
