Union Pacific is the largest and oldest operating railroad network in the U.S., with 32,426 miles of track covering 23 states across the western two-thirds of the country. To cover this immense geography, the company utilizes multiple Immersive Media camera systems, tagging every asset, from tracks to railroad crossings to rail switches, with a precise location which is then extracted and managed in the company’s databases. The interactive 360° is also used in simulators to train railroad engineers on operational procedures and safety.
